How to Marry in Kymer

In order to qualify for a wedding ritual to be officially registered, the couple should pay a 150T registration fee and have a ritual performed by an Oracle, Caretaker, Acolyte or Ordained Avatar.

The 150 Token registration fee will include a Marriage Certificate uploaded to the Dreamscape Wedding Registry. The 150 Token registration fee is paid to the Oracle, Caretaker, Acolyte or Ordained Avatar performing the service.

Anyone not following these steps will not be officially registered, however, the marriage will still be recognized.

Added 18th Feb 2000 - PLEASE NOTE: Some avatars who perform weddings will not request that you pay the fee.  If you are not asked for a fee it does not mean your wedding isn't officially recognised.  When weddings were first performed in the Dreamscape the fee was standard.  Now it is often not requested. If this is the case with your wedding, the wedding is still officially recognised.  If you are in any doubt please ask the person who performs your wedding ceremony.

Two marriage options are available in-world:

FIRST: You may contact an Acolyte or Ordained Avatar to perform the ceremony.

SECOND: A couple may opt to have a non-ordained avatar marry them or just exchange vows among themselves with no wedding ritual involved, however, an Acolyte or Ordained Avatar must be there to witness the non-ordained avatar marry them or the exchange of vows in the case of no ceremony. The Acolyte or Ordained Avatar witness who authenticates the marriage will have their name on the certificate.


Acolytes are able to perform weddings by virtue of their titles as their duties permit. However, an Acolyte may request advanced notice and refer requests for immediate marriages to an ordained avatar. Also, not all Acolytes choose to perform weddings.

All Oracles, Caretakers and Acolytes are able to perform rituals by title. See the page titled:  Acolytes, Oracles & Ordained Avatars for the current list of those who are able to officially register your wedding.
